Interview Process

1

Hackwithinfy Online OA Round

July 13, 2025

My online round consisted of 3 DSA questions to be solved in 3 hours. Out of these, 2 questions were focused on Dynamic Programming (DP), while the third question was based on strings. All the problems ranged from medium to hard difficulty, requiring a solid grasp of algorithms and problem-solving skills.

Physical Interview

August 1, 2025

My interview took place at the Noida office, where I was interviewed in a cabin along with one other candidate and a single interviewer.

The process began with two DSA questions to be solved in 40 minutes. The first question focused on binary search, but it was not a direct implementation - rather, it tested my problem-solving skills at a medium level of difficulty. The second question was based on Dynamic Programming, with a medium to hard difficulty level.

After the coding assessment, the next 30 minutes were dedicated to discussing the projects listed on my resume. There was an in-depth 20-minute discussion about my hackathon project, followed by questions about my Web3 project. The interviewer asked questions such as how I would scale the projects, what challenges I faced, and my reasoning behind choosing specific technologies over others. Overall, this part of the interview emphasized my understanding of my own work and my decision-making skills regarding project design and scalability.

Detailed Experience & Tips

My interview process comprised an online assessment round followed by an in-person interview at the Noida office.

Online Round: This round involved 3 DSA questions to be solved in 3 hours. Two questions focused on Dynamic Programming (DP), and the third was based on strings. All questions were of medium to hard difficulty, requiring strong logical and problem-solving abilities.

In-Person Interview: Conducted with another candidate in the same cabin and a single interviewer. We faced two DSA problems in 40 minutes - one testing binary search concepts in a non-direct way (medium level) and another on DP (medium to hard). This was followed by an in-depth discussion on projects and internships from my resume, including system design and technology choices. The interviewer evaluated both my technical skills and my understanding of project scalability, challenges, and decision-making.

Key Takeaways & Tips:

Work on unique and impactful projects: Having standout projects can make a big difference in the resume discussion stage. Be ready to explain your decisions, technologies used, and project scalability.

Revise SQL and core subjects: Questions related to databases, operating systems, and other core CS subjects may be asked. A quick revision of these topics can be very useful.

Master common DSA patterns: Practice standard coding patterns (like binary search, DP, strings, arrays) as most technical rounds feature these.

Prepare for typical project questions: Be able to answer questions such as why you chose specific technologies, how you would handle scaling, what challenges you faced, and how you solved them.

Focus on communication: Clearly explaining your thought process and approach is crucial during both coding and project discussions.

Overall, interviewers are looking for both technical depth and clarity of thought, so practice explaining your answers and project choices as much as you focus on coding itself.
